As women, we’re socialized to be nurturers. We’re taught to be sweet, to be nice, and to take care of everyone around us with a smile. But at what cost?
The societal expectations placed on women cause many of us to lose touch with ourselves, live in a constant state of anxiety or guilt, or tune out our inner voice—even when we know something isn’t right. Most of us were never taught how to set boundaries, advocate for our needs, or be true to ourselves, our mental health and relationships can begin suffering.
Identifying our needs and communicating them can build self esteem and confidence. They’re skills we can all learn once we’ve released unhelpful people pleasing behaviors. As a therapist, I facilitate this unlearning by helping clients connect to their feelings and create a space where their needs always come first.
By integrating breathwork and mindfulness with techniques to rewire your thoughts, tap into your inner strength, and make lasting changes, I can help you shed unhelpful programming holding you back from being your most authentic self.
