It can be difficult to make the decision to come to therapy, and you have already taken the first step. Wherever you are in your journey is where we’ll begin. As a therapist, my approach is open, gentle, and non-judgmental. I see you as an expert in your own experience and a valuable partner in our process together. I focus on creating a safe space for clients to freely express and explore their thoughts, feelings, and patterns, while feeling heard, seen, and accepted. I help you to reflect on and explore how your history informs your present so that you can recognize both what you want to continue to carry and what you’d like to release. I help clients to identify their own internal coping skills and strengths to facilitate growth and healing.
I have been working in the field since 2017 with children, adolescents, and adults. I have received training in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and problem-solving therapy. In fall 2022, I will be joining the Psychoanalytic Association of New York’s two-year Psychodynamic Psychotherapy training program. As a therapist, I believe there is always more to learn and am always seeking to further deepen my skills and practice.
