Encouraging my clients to explore their pasts, focus on their present, and look forward to their futures is something I have always been passionate about. I always try to create a safe space for them to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as understand why they are thinking / feeling a certain way.
Growing up in a large family and raising 6 children, I have first hand experience in navigating the pressures and difficulties that parenthood brings. My clients are often parents experiencing stress, low self-esteem and feelings of inadequacy due to not having the support they need as a parent. My approach is to help clients identify what obstacles they are facing in a comfortable, compassionate, collaborative environment that fosters a non-judgemental dialogue.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are imperative parts of my practice. I enjoy working with different age groups, genders, and clients from diverse backgrounds. I continue to take educational courses to continue to educate myself about cultural competence so I can provide the best care to my clients.
